Nudge Community Builders has been set up by local people who have been volunteering and leading Stonehouse Action in Plymouth for many years. We kick started the Street Party, created Union Corner and are inspired and asked by our community to do more.

Nudge Community Builders is here to grow and build on all that local knowledge and experience to really make a difference in our area and make sure the local community benefits from changes in our area in a way that is unique and special. Here are our latest Nudges.

Wendy Hart and Hannah Sloggett -Founders and Directors

Wendy and Hannah live in Stonehouse with their families. They have volunteered in their community for over 10 years.

Wendy has a professional background in social housing and supporting the voluntary sector. Hannah was a Planning Manager for Plymouth City Council with a background in community engagement and regeneration.

Laura Kelly – Nudge Project Manager

Laura has been with us for 3 years she was volunteering and working at Plymouth Arts Centre when she met Hannah and Wendy. She has a degree in Jewellery and has worked in hospitality and arts organisations in the past.

Laura is our nudge engine, she looks after nudge projects across our buildings and funds, runs social media & communication and is currently focussing on Millennium.

Lacey Marks – Plot Front of House

Lacey joined us in September 2020, through The Rank Foundation’s Rank Aspire program. She is The Plot’s front of house manager and immediately got stuck into Union Street Party fun. Lacey has been helping get the Plot finished the last 6 months and has been supporting our tenants move in.

Amie Carr – Volunteer Co-Ordinator

Amie joined us in December 2020, she is a local resident and knows just about everyone on the street. Amie used to run her own business and used to work for Shekinah charity. Amie will be injecting some love into Union Corners activities and supporting all our amazing volunteers who help us at events and bring our buildings back into use.

Nicola Cooke – Visual Co-ordinator

Nicola joined us in March 2020, as a part of the Rank Foundations Time 2 Shine Program. Nicola has just finished her masters degree in with the Plymouth College or Art. Nicola is getting involved and pushing forward with our Creative Civic Change Projects and our communications.
